Cyber Quest March 2011: Winners
Cyber Quests just concluded the first in its series of contests with great success! Competition was fierce, with a tremendously talented pool of individuals taking part in this challenge. The online quiz tested knowledge of website and application configuration, along with TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
The players had to race against the clock and each other, and the winners were determined based on who achieved the highest score in the shortest amount of time.
Congratulations to our top three U.S. winners!!!
- Ryan Sears (Zer01), a junior at Michigan Technological University
- Alexander R Shagla-McKotch, a senior at Rochester Institute of Technology
- Stephen Sigwart, a graduate student at the University of Delaware
We are pleased to provide special recognition to our overall second place winner, Santiago Alessandri, a senior at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Argentina. Interest from international participants reflects the importance of cyber security issues on a global scale and reinforces the collective effort required to meet the cyberspace challenges we face. Casting a wide net is essential to identify the talent who can help develop the solutions for the mutual benefit of all.
Congratulations to each of our Cyber Quests participants! We hope you had fun, learned a lot, and will join us in April for the next Quest!
